Coleman was born in Blackpool Lancashire. She attended Arnold School Blackpool as head girl. She scored the highest marks for her A level examinations. When Coleman was asked about her Emmerdale role she replied she regretted having not had the typical university experience. Coleman participated in a club called In Yer Space at her school. The company performed Crystal Clear in Edinburgh Festival. Apart from receiving a prize for her acting, the play that she performed was well-received. Coleman won the Emmerdale role Jasmine Thomas after auditioning with the drama school. Coleman was nominated twice for awards in the year 2007. In 2007 Coleman was nominated to win two awards, the British Soap Awards as the Most Popular Newcomer and also the National Television Awards as the Most Popular. Coleman was awarded nominations for Best Actress, Sexiest Woman as well as Best Dramatic Performance at the British Soap Awards 2009. Coleman was awarded the TV Choice Awards nomination for Best Actress. The 21st of March, 2012 Doctor Who producer Steven Moffat announced at a press event that Coleman will play the Doctor's companion alongside Matt Smith after Karen Gillan and Arthur Darvill have left the show. Moffat picked her to play the role because she worked the best alongside Smith and was able to talk more quickly than Smith. Eva Larue..............................Eva LaRue is an American actor and model. Her work in the business since 1987. She has appeared in numerous films and TV projects. She has however had a greater presence on television as opposed to films. Eva's roles in TV series"Dr. Maria Santos, in All My Children, and the role of Detective Natalia Boa Vista in CSI Miami stand out. The part as Dr. Maria Santos on All My Children garnered its the two Daytime Emmy nominations. This provided her with the opportunity to show off her musical talent. Eva is, along with being an actress is also a philanthropist, businesswoman and entrepreneur. Eva is married three times with a daughter by her second spouse.
