Katie Lowes
Katie Lowes has gained acclaim for her portrayal of "Scandal" in the series "Scandal" on ABC, but her love to perform began in childhood as a love of theatre. Lowes was born and raised within Queens (New York), loved performing and singing for her family and acquaintances. But unlike many entertaining children, Lowes' love of acting didn't go to the side as she got up. Lowes was more committed and dedicated to her work, ultimately enrolling at the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University. She would eventually prove herself through a leading role in the Tisch mainstage production "Four Saints of Mexico" in 2002. She would then follow that with finishing her studies and entering the realm of professional. Lowes landed some impressive appearances for herself, including the pilot for the series "Rescue the Me" (FX from 2004 to 2011) However, for the major part, Lowes paid the bills during her early years working as a nanny daughter of actor Connie Britton. Then, eventually she was offered the part as Quinn Perkins on Shonda Rhimes' political drama "Scandal" (ABC 2012. ) which she immediately felt a connection to, since her real-life middle name is Quinn. The show made Lowes a household name and face, and introduced herself to the actor Adam Shapiro, whom she got married in June 2012.
